BS and Beer Kelowna!

Hi All!

The BS and Beer Canada show is coming to Kelowna on May 16th! We will be hosting the show live online at 4 Pacific from my humble house in Kelowna, followed by an in-person meet-up at Copper Brewing in Kelowna. I hope you'll join us for both portions, but if you can't make the live join us for some brews and to meet a couple of the leaders who are advancing building science knowledge in Canadian residential construction.

The live presentation will be on a deep energy retrofit in south Kelowna, tackling the trials and tribulations of completing a Passive House level (EnerPhit) retrofit on a home while living in it and not getting divorced. We will be dorking out about air tightness, thermal bridges, indoor air quality, the problems that can arise in super-insulated assemblies, and the economics both short and long term of a project this extensive. Why didn't I just knock this house down? That's an excellent question. Aron Jones from Big Dog Construction, and Shaun St Amour of Clay Construction and the Passive House Accelerator are coming to town to force me to explain myself, and justify my methods and details. Connor Malloy will be joining from George Brown College per usual to help host virtually.
